No.10 Whitfield Avenue is a registered care home, for three adults with learning disabilities. It is a semi-detached house that has been adapted to meet the service user's needs. All service users have their own bedroom. Two bedrooms are situated on the first floor and one bedroom is downstairs. There is a lounge, kitchen, dining area/conservatory, laundry facilities and a toilet on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a bathroom and a staff office/sleepover room. The office has internet access and offers private space for service users to discuss issues. All bedrooms meet CQC room size regulations. The house has a beautiful large garden to the rear of the property with patio and extensive borders. To the front of the house there is a driveway and small enclosed garden area. The home is ideally suited for people with active lifestyles and good mobility.

The house is located in the Thisleberry area and is a short distance from Newcastle town centre. There is a bus stop at the end of the street where a bus to town can be caught on a frequent basis. There is a GP, Paper Shop, Barbers, Hairdressers, Church, Post Office, Fish & Chip Shop and Local Pub which does food at lunchtimes all within walking distance from the home.
