We've just been named as a top employer!

10 March 2011

We've made the 'Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to work for 2011' list, and our employees are thrilled that we've been selected.
The Sunday Times looks at various areas that affect employees and Choices was rated 38th for wellbeing and 47th for personal growth. Nigel Downs, our Executive Director and Deputy Chief Executive said: "We are all delighted with this award, especially as this is the first time we have entered. It's fantastic to know that our employees enjoy working for us, as ultimately this means the services we provide for our customers will be even better."
82% of our employees think that we provide a great service to clients. They also see we have strong principles, with managers talking honestly and openly to them.
We spend around £170,000 on training our 263 employees, placing great emphasis on valuing the contribution of every employee, and we've also been recognised as a centre of excellence by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities.
Results from our staff satisfaction survey put Choices in the top 30 organisations as recognised in the Sunday Times top 100 list.
Muriel Thorley, one of our Housing Officers, said: "It's a great company to work for. Everyone works hard to provide a good service and I feel valued and supported as an employee".
