Limewood dementia residents reminisce.

Staff from the National War Memorial visited Limewood in Stafford, our specialist dementia care centre recently and helped to build a positive reminiscence session with our service users and Debbie, our Activity Co-ordinator. They are planning a café session at the National Memorial Arboretum to run once a month starting this month for people living with dementia, their carers and family members. We received a preview of what they have planned and helped them to build on their sessions.

Evidence suggests that reminiscence sessions with the residents can lead to an improvement in depression and loneliness as well as help to promote psychological well-being.

Thank you for the visit!
