Residents at Limewood always give a warm welcome to PAT dog Eboni and her owner Dave.
Activity Coordinator, Debbie Hancox comments “A Pets At Therapy dog can enhance the lives of our residents by providing companionship and helps to tackle loneliness. They can provide a person with dementia with unconditional love and tremendous source of social support.”
At choices we support the research that not only does a therapy dog provide emotional support and enjoyment but also physically as Eboni can motivate residents to get involved with physical activity such as walking or playing.
Eboni and Dave visit every Thursday where Eboni provides plenty of wet kisses and makes it irresistible to smile!
